PATENTED AWARD WINNING ENERGY SAVING AND ASSET PROTECTION COATINGS... NANOSCIENCE THAT WORKS FOR YOU.
The Case for Sustainable Buildings
The U.S. Green Building Council | Better buildings are our legacy.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and its community are changing the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated. We believe in better buildings; places that complement our environment and enhance our communities. Places that give people better, brighter, healthier spaces to live, work and play.Green building is a win-win, offering both environmental and economic opportunity. Greater building efficiency can meet 85 percent of future demand for energy in the United States and a commitment to green building has the potential to generate 2.5 million jobs.
Synavax™ has harnessed the potential of nanotechnology to patent invisible barrier coating technology.
Imagine what could happen if the whole world painted it on?
Energy Savings. Asset Protection. Saving our Earth.
That’s right, it’s that simple for you and that powerful for the world.
Did we mention that it pays-for-itself with the cost savings? Brilliant!
Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED), is a green building certification program that recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices. To receive LEED certification, building projects satisfy prerequisites and earn points to achieve different levels of certification. Prerequisites and credits differ for each rating system, and teams choose the best fit for their project. Still curious about what LEED is or why you should use it? Source: The US Green Building Website“LEED>> “LEED does not specifically certify products, however products like our coatings can help you toward earning LEED points toward LEED certification in the following categories.
Our LeadX™ – clear lead encapsulation coating offers an excellent solution to encapsulate lead- based paint contaminated buildings for remediation.
Energy & Atmosphere (EA) Credit 1: Optimize Energy Efficiency Performance
Coat walls & ceilings with our coatings for buildings: Energy Protect™ (commercial) or HomeProtect (residential). Coat water heaters, ductwork or piping with our Translucent PT. Coat roofs with our Crystal roof coating. The coatings offer an easy, affordable way to upgrade a buildingʼs energy efficiency. ISO standard testing for thermal performance of building assemblies showed that the coatings blocked 34.8% of thermal flow. Field studies, as reported by customers, show increase in energy efficiency between 20%-40%, dependent upon application.

Use Synavax coatings to protect and lengthen lifespan of walls, pipes and roof. Energy Protect™ (commercial) or HomeProtect (residential) can be used to increase energy efficiency of daylighting windows, walls and ceilings and also provides a surface that is resistant to recurring mold or mildew growth. Crystal roof coating protects roof surfaces from UV and moisture, lengthening lifespan while also proving insulation. Translucent PT can be used on plumbing fixtures, pipes and similar surface to prevent corrosion and insulate.
All Synavax thermal insulation and mold resistant coatings for homes and buildings are low VOC. Most have a VOC of 100 g/L which qualifies under the low emitting materials requirement.
Indoor Environmental Quality (EA) Credit 8.1: Daylight and Views
Coat daylight windows and skylights with Energy Protect™. The coating allows through visible light, while reducing glare and UV penetration and increasing a window or skylightʼs thermal resistance in all seasons.
Apply Energy Protect™ (commercial) or HomeProtect (residential) to surfaces to inhibit the growth of mold on walls, ceilings or other surfaces. The coatings have been tested to ASTM G21 and D5590 and were shown to prevent growth of both new and existing molds without use of potentially harmful moldicides.
Our Synavax™ coating lines provide an array of benefits, each one with its own meaningful contribution. We listen to your sustainability needs and create customized specifications just for you. “A challenge in reusing old masonry buildings is dealing with the energy envelope. Owners and designers love the interior appearance of the old, raw common brick walls. The typical wall is three solid wythes of brick thick, with no cavity for insulation to be injected. Infiltration can be addressed with various coatings, but until recently nothing could be done about thermal transmission.
Nanotechnology is a field that has shown tremendous promise in the area of materials science.”
